Hi, I'm Laura.
I'm a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT) with over fifteen years of experience providing evidence-based music therapy services across clinical, educational, community, hospice, psychiatric, and veteran-focused settings.
My work is grounded in assessment, treatment planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, supervision, curriculum development, and program management. I'm dedicated to improving quality of life, functional outcomes, emotional well-being, communication, and independence for individuals across the lifespan — from very young children to those in end-of-life care.
Person-Centered
Every plan starts with the client's strengths, preferences, and meaningful goals.
Evidence-Based
Interventions grounded in current music therapy and neurologic research.
Cross-Setting Fluency
Clinics, schools, homes, hospitals, hospice, and community spaces.
Teaching & Supervision
Internship supervision, curriculum design, and conference presenting.
What guides my practice
I believe music therapy is most powerful when it is collaborative. I work alongside speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, case managers, educators, caregivers, and families to build treatment plans that translate into real, daily life — fewer meltdowns at school, a clearer word, a steadier step, a meaningful goodbye.
Whether I'm running a drum circle with veterans at Big Red Barn Retreat, co-treating with an SLP for a child with cerebral palsy, or sitting bedside with a hospice patient, the through-line is the same: music meets people where words can't.
15+ years across every setting music therapy can reach.
Clinics, schools, hospitals, hospices, homes, and community spaces — every role has deepened my ability to meet clients exactly where they are.
